Color Testing !
0

This test is partially based on research by Dr. Max Lûscher during the early 1900's. He has devoted his life to the study of how color affects behavior and has been hired by some of the world's largest companies as a consultant.
The test itself is based upon fundamentals in color psychology. With years of research by color psychologists the characteristics of certain colors has been identified to cause an emotional response in people. This was done by studying the response from hundreds of thousands of test subjects around the world in order to isolate how certain colors make us feel. By doing the reverse, using the colors people prefer to determine how people feel, we can get some interesting indicators about a person's current emotional state.
It is important to understand that the results from tests like this can be both short-term and long-term in their meaning. For example, if you are feeling depressed about something when you take the test you may see this reflected in your results. You may also notice deeper conflicts showing themselves consistantly if you take the test time and time again. This test can be taken quite often and still yield results that are accurate. The results will not be the same each time you take the test, for the most part, unless you are taking them without some time interval between them.
The test is widely used in Europe and overseas. There are very few experts of Luscher's work in the United States, so for some of our American visitors the notions behind this test may seem rather strange...But give the test a try and you will be surprised!
Is the test reliable? We leave that to your opinion. We can only say that there are a number of corporations and colleges that use the Lûscher test as part of their hiring/admissions processes. It can be a useful tool for doctors and psychologists as well and is used to get a quick overview of potential issues patients may have in their lives.

I’m in a testing mood tonight, and put together a list of tests that you can run your blog or web site through if you feel up to learning more about your pages…
1. See what grade level your blog is at with a Readability Test. (The original link has been replaced with a more informative one. The older one kept on becoming unavailable, and there were some issues involving possible web spam associated with it.)
2. Find out if the Gender Genie can predict the gender of your blog’s author.
3. Gauge how well the HTML or XHTML of your blog validates with the W3C Markup Validation Service.
4. Discover whether your site is available behind the Great Firewall of China.
5. Check out how accessible your website might be with the Wave Accessibility Tool.
6. Take a peek at how your site might appear on an iphone.
7. Explore your site to see if you have broken links.
8. Let Microsoft Adcenter determine how much commercial intent your site seems to have.
9. Make your site render in grayscale.
10. Get an estimate of how many visitors your site gets a day.
11. See how your site looks in different browsers.
12. Extract the Colors and their names from your site.
13. Catch people who might be plagiarizing your words on the Web.
14. Convert your site to text only to make it easier to read on a phone or other handheld device.
15. Translate your page into another language (I liked how mine looked in Traditional Chinese).
Test Your Blog

If you are doing blogs, you must be sure you are doing them right. Otherwise why spending your time and efforts on useless things?
The steps below will work like a blood test examination for your blog, telling you if you have problems with the 'health' of your blog, whether your blog works the way it should.
DO THE TEST! FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW:
Just as there are different types of blood, there are different types of blogs. As each type should serve its purpose, you must know what type of blog you have (want to make) before making any further steps with this blog.
Blog Type 1: Customer Relations Blog. Blogs that show others the 'personality' of your business. Blogs are really good in building strong relationships with customers. But this type of blog needs interacting with customers, answering questions, providing useful tips - you must be constantly 'talking' to your clients. This is not an easy task, but your credibility will grow immensely.
Blog Type 2: Sales Blog. These blogs show the features and benefits of your product/service to the customer. You can do less interaction with client, but you must draw a detailed picture of your business, why people should use its products, and why they will be the best with your product/service. Explain discounts, run incentives, make polls, etc.
Blog Type 3: Personal Web Journal Blogs. The idea of these blogs has some Internet marketing viral touch. People can post anything they wish on your blog. They get the space for sharing their thoughts, you get traffic to your blog. The chance to be heard is a good motivation indeed.
If you already have a blog, do the test to learn what kind of blog you have. After you know the type of your blog you got (want to make), make some good thinking: is this blog making what it should make?
For example, if you want to get publicity and grow your personal credibility with a blog, you shouldn't stuff this blog with details and full 3-scroll-down-page price list of your offers. If you want to get more traffic, better make a blog where people will have full freedom in posting their thoughts. They don't need your features'n'options, they'd better like having more categories for discussion. Focus on the things that are really crucial for your type of blog. Don't try to mix all types into one blog. There are millions of blogs in the world. If you try to put everything into one piece, you may get something odd looking and non-functional.
MAKE YOUR BLOG WORK AND DO ITS BEST!!
